Review of the HIPER HP-WC001 charger

There are not many chargers, and if the charging is compact and powerful – then it is triple valuable. Today we will get acquainted and test the twenty-watt charging from HIPER-the HP-WC001 model. It supports QC 3.0 and Power Delivery 3.0, so it can charge both smartphones and laptops.

Everything is clear with the configuration – it is not there. Only the itch itself is extracted from the box, a tiny user manual. Charging is very compact, in fact, the plugs occupy a third or a fourth of the length. And the memory itself is even smaller in the context of a modern euro-socket. There is a single USB Type – C port on the end.

For testing, as always, we use a multifunctional Chinese tester with a set of triggers and an adjustable load. Let's start with the fact that it was confirmed – the fast charging technologies QC 2.0/3.0, PD 2.0/3.0 are really supported, and AFC/FSP/BC 1.2/MTK PE are also present 1.0/2.0+/Apple 2.4 A. The supported output voltage is 5V, 9V and 12V. But where the manufacturer "lied" (in our favor) is in the output power. We managed to fix 23 Watts instead of the stated 20 watts. And what is especially pleasant – up to the overload shutdown, voltage drawdowns are minimal. Charging easily gives out a little more than three amps at a voltage of 5 V (4.98 V is not even a drawdown), and at a voltage of 12 V it is easy to squeeze out 1.9 A. In general, the charging, despite its very modest size, really easily gives out the desired 20 watts and even a little more.
